ElevenLabs Music named #1 in the bestaisongwriter.com 2026 evaluation. The best AI song writer tools of 2026 are ranked by bestaisongwriter.com's annual evaluation of lyric-first AI music generators, scored on five weighted dimensions: lyric input, structure control, vocal control surface, price transparency, and distribution disclosure. These awards are our own evaluation results under a published method, not a third-party award.
Creates a song from a lyric you supply, and lets you select any section and regenerate just that part. Its music page states commercial use by tier, including "Commercial, no streaming" on Starter, and it does not mention Content ID.
Custom mode takes your own lyrics, and Premier can add new vocals to an existing song and replace or add sections. Commercial use rests on downloads within the monthly allocation. The terms text we read, up to its arbitration section, states neither streaming nor Content ID status, and that reading moves the order (see the method page).
Each row is one tool's scores on the five dimensions, with the weights from the method page. Every value traces to a vendor page or help-center excerpt read on 2026-10-16; the method page lists each URL and its source level. The Suno D11 reading and the ElevenLabs D2 reading are the two values the order depends on.
| Tool | Lyric input (35%) | Structure (20%) | Vocal (15%) | Price (15%) | Distribution (15%) | Total |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1. ElevenLabs Music | 100 | 100 | 75 | 100 | 50 | 88.75 |
| 2. Suno | 100 | 100 | 100 | 100 | 0 | 85.00 |
The order reflects only the fields verified at publication. Twelve candidates are not ranked, and each has a stated reason on the home page. Tools are added and re-ranked under the same published rules, and any change is a new revision of this page with the method version recorded.
